DESCRIPTION:This course focuses on the engine electrical system\, electronic systems\, their components and function.  Understanding and applying electrical theory while troubleshooting circuits with a digital multimeter\, and the Perkins Electronic Service Tool (EST) is key to completing this course. Students get the opportunity to work through various bugged circuits on an engine. In addition to electrical circuit diagnosis\, students learn the proper procedure for reprogramming and changing parameters within an ECM.
